Dental implants are made from USA-made titanium and are affixed permanently to your bone. This does require surgery, however, so these are a more extreme option. They function just as your normal teeth and can last up to 20 years if they are properly cared for.
Porcelain fixed bridges don’t require surgery, however, so if they are suitable to meet your needs, they are the preferred option.

WHAT HAPPENS AT AN APPOINTMENT FOR DENTAL BRIDGES?
At Smiles Plus Dental Care, we first start with a consultation so that you can visit our office and meet our professional staff before treatment. This also gives your doctor and his team the opportunity to create a detailed and personalized plan for your dental care.
During this consultation, we will take x-rays, provide an expert examination, and answer any questions you may have about your teeth and treatment. We will take impressions of your mouth and teeth to ensure a natural and comfortable fit for your porcelain fixed bridge.
A temporary bridge will be placed to guard your teeth while your permanent bridge is being custom-made. When your permanent bridge arrives at our office, you will come back in and your porcelain fixed bridge will be carefully and securely placed.
HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF PORCELAIN FIXED BRIDGES?
With proper care your porcelain fixed bridges will last anywhere between 5 to 15 years, and even longer for some. Proper care includes brushing and flossing your teeth twice daily.
Smiles Plus Dental Care we recommend that you visit us for a checkup and cleaning at least twice a year. This will ensure that we catch any future problems early and can stop them from becoming any bigger.
